Low Slope Overview
A low slope roof refers to any roof system with a pitch of 2:12 or lower. This means that the roof height increases by 2 inches for every 12 horizontal inches. Most common on commercial properties, these roof systems come in a variety of materials, including:
- Single-Ply Membrane (TPO, PVC, etc.)
- SBS Modified Membrane
- Asphalt Shingles *only on roofs with 2:12 pitch or greater
- Metal
From corporate offices to industrial facilities, low slope roofs are ideal for covering large properties, from slightly pitched to flat. Despite primarily being used for commercial properties, low slope roofs have become more common on modern homes due to their cost-effective design.
